Chattahoochee Hills Municipal Court handles citations and ordinance violations within the city limits of Chattahoochee Hills. The Honorable Jim Barfield is the city's Municipal Court Judge.
Municipal Court Chief Judge Jim Barfield has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1973. He earned his BA Degree in Sociology from LaGrange College in 1968 and his Juris Doctorate Degree from Woodrow Wilson in 1973. Judge Barfield is a member of Pi Gamma Mu National Honor Society. Prior to beginning his law practice, Judge Barfield taught and coached at Therrell High School and served as a Probation Officer for Fulton County. He was appointed as the first Juvenile Court Child Advocate in the State of Georgia in 1976 and has served as a Juvenile Court Associate Judge for Fulton County on a part-time basis for nearly two decades. Jim's pro bono work includes participation in the Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition as a Trial Judge. He and his family are long-time residents of our community.
